greylag and goslings

    Goose family

    I got a lot of pictures of geese with their goslings in the sunshine but I like this better. I can't really explain why though. There's only one eye to be seen and all the goslings have their backs to the camera. Maybe it's because there's a sense of tranquillity.

    Running for cover

    Even though there was a field (well a paddock) and two fences between us, the parents obviously thought I was a danger to their goslings! They didn't waste any time getting them all into the long grass. I couldn't actually see the young ones until I downloaded the picture. It's quite nice...
