Technically, this isn't a good picture, it's not in focus properly, and the shutter speed is too slow. I changed the camera to programmed auto mode to see what the result would be like, and it selected a low ISO with a 125th second shutter. Great for a static subject, pretty useless for the...
I usually try to save a couple of uploads in case something happens in the garden, but it's very dull today, so I'll just save one upload for later (Not seen any Sparrowhawks for a couple of days, which is odd).

Another shot of a Greylag Goose on the frozen marshes at Strumpshaw Fen. Obviously these birds are well protected against the cold, unlike me. The snow has all gone now and I won't be sorry if it doesn't return this winter. Ron
This Greylag hangs around near all the gulls at the boat launch in Coxsackie, NY and squawks at all the gulls as if they are in his space. Greylags are techically domestic geese but ones like this one that you see in the wild are several (??) generations from being kept geese!!
