This photo was taken from a high rim of the huge Gemma Gorge. The distant opposite rim appeared lower. This circumstance allowed me to obtain a background of sky as the bird dipped to reveal its upper side to me.

Back from my summer holidays at the seaside.. as usual one day was dedicated to colour-ring reading ... a very hot day (above 38C) but very rewarding.. many vultures came soaring at close range this time ... I hope you like this FF capture
