Can you spot the lone female evening grosbeak mixed in with the pine grosbeaks and one common redpoll?
  16. Pine Grosbeaks In Snow

    Pine Grosbeaks In Snow

This is my front lawn. I throw handfuls of seed there for the grosbeaks, especially now that we're in a deep freeze... -20C for a daytime high today!
  17. Male & Female Pine Grosbeaks

    Male & Female Pine Grosbeaks

I finally got a female pine to cooperate with me for a picture! :)
  18. Male Pine Grosbeak with Male Common Redpoll

Male Pine Grosbeak with Male Common Redpoll

The redpolls won't stay on the feeder long when evening grosbeaks are there but pine grosbeaks are much calmer and don't bother them.
  19. Pine Grosbeaks

    Pine Grosbeaks

A little fuzzy, taken through a window. Male and female pine grosbeak. Hopefully, it will be warm enough outside soon to get clearer pictures!
