    Bicolored Antbird (Gymnopithys bicolor subsp. bicolor) Sexes similar. Pipeline Road, northwest of Gamboa, Panama Province, Panama. Tropical rainforest at 55 m (180 ft elevation).

    Found myself very close to these little birds that were among other antbirds following the Army Ants in Pipeline Road, Panama.

    Race bicolor. This bird is by some treated as a race of G. leucaspis, i.e., G. leucaspis bicolor. This inquisitive bird observed me as I watched it feeding above an antswarm.
