One last image of the hawfinch, this time taken through the scope by holding my coolpix up to the eyepiece, carefully, without the two touching (the guide's suggestion, he said he does it from time to time).
BTW, sorry I haven't managed to catch up on browsing and commenting. Hotel connection...
Bombs (and bird) away!
I don't know which pointy thing he objected to though - my camera or my guide's scope. Maybe both. We were pretty nosy, I guess.
OK folks. Off to dinner with some colleagues at the conference. Been catching up on browsing and commenting, but sloooowly due to slow connection at the hotel. Here's the next to last first-hawfinch shot. I'll continue browsing and post the final hawfinch shot when I get back from dinner. |=)|
Very long and busy day in Copenhagen today, including half an hour of dawn birding on my way to the conference. Firsts for the day: tufted ducks :D Too tired to browse tonight :( Will just post 2 views of my last Budapest first, then go to sleep. This was from my half day of birding in the Buda...
A lifer and long awaited for bird, I found this migrant feeding on Willow leaves at the side of a Shetland Burn, poor Devil he realy should be elsewhere.
This post, not for the quality of the image, but for the quantity of birds |=)|
Hawfinches on my bird feeding table, with some bramblings and greenfinches. Guret, today.
