Here's the close-up shot showing more details of the deformed bill. Not sure if it's been damaged or whether it was born like this. It seems to be surviving, so hope the extreme cold that is heading our way, doesn't kill off the birds. There will be snow Sunday night and freezing temperatures.

We've been seeing this Hermit Thrush a lot this winter. We've also had one with a deformed bill, which seems to be feeding OK. I'll upload 2 photos of it next.

Hermit Thrushes have a chunky shape similar to an American Robin, but smaller.

I just love when they visit ;)

Haven't seen him in a week and I miss him/her.

I just can't ignore these guys/gals when they are all over the place

Sitting out an icy rain storm

We saw some movement deep in the thicket. Most of the birders gave up waiting for the bird to show and walked on, but I hung back until I got a shot of this Hermit Thrush.

..as long as they are hanging around, I'm gonna take pics of them. ;)

I actually have 4 of these guys hanging out. Never had that many before
