Generally we only get black-heads in the town round here, then every now and then lessers arrive and less commonly these Herring Gulls.
I don't do gulls, but with the streaky head, I presume winter plumaged adult HG.
Commons are more common out in the country.

Had a great day out with Aivars yesterday...We visited a Peregrine site in West Sussex first. Three young uns keeping the adults really busy, then we moved on to the Kittiwake colony at Seaford.
