Another bash at getting the Hobby's and weather right, a slightly better result than the previous attempt

after 3 years trying to get hobbies in flight with my pannys it didn't take long for the canon to nail it

Looks like the prey is missing, no larger insects around so smaller flies were the main course

Was a difficult weekend, plenty of hobbies but light and position didn't quite align, nice to watch em in action though

I had my most exhilarating bird watching experience so far at Strumpshaw Fen yesterday. A family of three Hobbies were hunting over the meadows. Hardly seen any of these this year, so seeing 3 on Saturday was a real treat. This one glided past quite low, eating its catch.

Unfortunately the light was against me when I came across Mr Red Trousers at Polichnictou Salt Pans on windy, but sunny Mayday in Lesvos.
