Off to Lake Tkern next weekend unless the hostel closes. All the larger groups have cancelled so we should have the place to ourselves.

A winter week away in Montenegro gave me an rare opportunity to photograph a different set of birds. Fortunately the sun shone.

We had a great trip to Turkey though there wasn't a lot of time to photograph birds. Did my best though. Saw a lot of familiar species and a few less familiar ones. And some I'd never seen before. I'll try to post some during the week. Thanks for all you best wishes for the trip!

One for Doc. I didn't get many bird pictures in Norway but I took a series of this character at a fountain.

Must be at least 50 shades. :-) Flying back to Sweden tomorrow. We've had a great time in Scotland and I've taken lots of pictures in spite of very mixed weather. Processing some of my favourites (slow shutter speeds, high ISO) is going to be a real challenge.

I made an interesting trip, with my family, in Germany. As the weather was not nice and we wanted to have a coffe outside this was our neighbour.

I suspect I'm not alone in taking flight shots of birds I might not have considered previously, inspired by IanF and others. Of course Hooded Crows are much easier than Barn Swallows and Sand Martins. :-)
