I was trying to capture how packed with crows this field was. Not entirely successful, certainly far from a Van Gogh :eek!:, possibly because I got distracted by the sparrows, rooks, and woodies - all gathered in their different patches of the field, feasting on grain dropped by the harvester...
Why the crows were so thirsty. There's a building to the left that's a grain and feed silo. To the right is the harbor where they on- and offload ships. Got lots of dim and poorly focused shots of the action, of which this one is the best because of the one in the air and the mash...
Not my best shots, this one and its mates, but I couldn't resist the chance for a pun.
Just left of the frame, crows were feasting on some spilled mash at the loading pier by the grain silos. I guess it was making them thirsty, as they were also flocking to this puddle, probably left by folks...
If you go down to the beach today, you'd better not go alone.
