This male and his mate, look closely in the grass behind him, as well as about a dozen other Hooded Parrots were feeding close to the camp grounds at Pine Creek, Northern Territory. They are locally common to the area but very restricted in their range.
The time spent in the heat and humidity of the topend tropics, with thousands of flies and mosquitos for company (or was I dinner?), was well worth it when the male showed up on the third morning.
