This guy was sitting in the branches eating snow berries. He was very co-operative and sat there for a while.

Taken at 20' and camera at full zoom this fella allowed multiple pics to be viewed.

A little experiment with back lighting

Sory I haven't been on line for a few days. Was having internet problems and having a heck of a time getting it solved. Spent several hours on the phone with the techs over the last few days and finally they said they had to schedule a on site tech visit. I kept working on it myself after that...

The lake, hills and sky helped make the colors in the background.

Seems to be my most plentiful backyard bird these days. The goldfinches must be off nesting as I don't see them as often or as many now. But the House Finches are around in numbers.

Another of my backyard birds. I think a slight brteeze came up and ruffled his feathers for a minute.

Don't usually like most of the straight on bird shots I get but there was something about this little guy that made me smile. Same little HF as in previous shot.

Will be leaving early tomorrow morning for a week in Virginia mountains. Will only have phone for internet contact so will try to check in now and then but probably won't be doing much posting until I get back. I will leave you with this House Finch taken this morning in my backyard. take care...
