Early June still and the first lot of young House Sparrows were out of the nest.
Dad carefully tending to this youngster by stuffing some food in his mouth.
Rather strong sunshine, so tried a bit of pp work on it. Not very good at it really.

House Sparrow having a dust bath... taken through the bottom of the window that's always smeared by the Pigeons, but I wanted a lower angle.
I've been moving some dusty earth to the same bit of the garden as I sweep up each day - a small flock of Sparrows have been using it each day for Dust...
Yes, because I captured this male sparrow visiting our feeder for the first time. This is special beacuse we don't get to see too many of them around the houses belying their name. Their numbers have been dwindling & whatever are there, they seem to have moved away from human dwellings.
Been off the internet for the last few days. The local council has been supplying us with contaminated water, making thousand of people ill. The infection shut down schools and infected 5800 homes. I have not feeling to well.
A drop in House Sparrow population dropped by 71% between 1977 and 2008. I am not sure if the decline still continues but the path, bushes and fence line held hundreds of House Sparrows(mostly Juveniles) on the Nature Reserve was on this morning. An amazing sight.
Some House Sparrows for Saturday fun today. First this one having a refreshing bath, perhaps just what he needed after a day of feeding the little ones.
