    North America hummingbird seen in Los Angeles. I was really pleased to have captured my first hummingbird unexpectedly, while visiting friends a few weeks ago. I was quite surprised to come face to face with this little hummingbird, just 2 or 3 meters away!

    BB has a broken beak i found him not moving, i hand fed him egg yolk sugar water he almost immediately recovered so now i supplement his protein intake :)

    We ripped out the ivy from a flower bed and replaced it with some actual flowers hoping to give the resident hummers an alternative to the feeders we have set up around the yard and reduce some of the territorial aggression . Seems to have worked. The photo ops are a very welcome benefit too!
