    Iduna (?) Warbler from Pakistan

Hello everyone! I took this single photo of a warbler in the Swat Valley, Pakistan this August. I'm unsure of which Iduna it is. We are inclined towards Sykes's Warbler but we are not too confident. Any feedback on the ID would be appreciated, perhaps some ID tips too. Thanks in anticipation!

Swift ID - Ohio, United States

I've been having trouble identifying the type of swift I spotted at a park yesterday (June 16). There were about six of them in a bird house next to the parking lot. They were brown/grey and white, which made me think they were chimney swifts, but their bellies were white and their entire heads...

Raptor ID Help - Valdetorres de Jarama, Spain, 29 April, 2024

Birding with a guide, Carlos, and took these pics between photos of Red Kite, Black Kite, Lesser Kestrel, Common Buzzard and others. I thought it was a Common Buzzard, but it isn't matching up to my satisfaction. The wing tips are quite square in some photos, the tail is only slightly rounded...

I was out birding at nearby Minebrook Park. I looked up and saw this amazing woodpecker in a tree above me. Would this be a Downy or Hairy Woodpecker? I know I have recently made a thread like this, but this is a completely different bird at a different location, and I think it may be a...

Woodpecker ID - In New Jersey, USA

I was out birding when I saw a woodpecker that was either a Downy or Hairy. It seemed larger than the usual downy woodpeckers I get at by bird feeder and I believe it may be a hairy woodpecker. If so can someone please confirm the identification of this bird and tell me why it is a hairy...

    South Carolina bird ID?

Hello all, I just drove past this bird on my golf cart this morning and it doesn't look like a species that frequents the property. The bird was doing a bobbing behavior that I would associate with some shore birds. The photo was taken in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in a fairly wooded area...

Maria Island, Tasmania - bird song ID

Heard primarily in the AM in a wooded semi-marshy area in October. Three clear whistled notes in a repeating pattern. Sounds strikingly like the first three notes of the Jurassic Park theme song (B flat, A, B flat). Never saw the bird making the vocalization. Any help would be appreciated!

    Is this a sparrow?

I was in a truck so I couldn’t get a good picture without spooking them. They have the typical sparrow coloration, but they looked bigger. They were between a robin and a song sparrow in size. The male (top) seemed to be feeding the female (bottom) as she rested on the ground.
