Well Peeps,
We're on the road again this morning...We're actually going home. Not sure if we will be home a week or two weeks before we make a trip to Devon. Today it should be just a two train journey from Bedford to Hastings, so if things run smoothly, I will catch up with...
Don't know why, but this chap reminds me of someone staggering out of a pub at closing time. I was just browsing my shots, and came across it, such a comical pose.
I only see Jackdaws at my local reservoirs, and I've never had close views. I've not seen or heard any locally, and I've never seen any near or in my garden... until today ;)
Poor light and still smeary windows, but it's always good to get a new species visiting the feeders; although I'm hoping...
Well Peeps,
I bussed it to Rye Harbour and back yesterday...A cracking four hours out in the field in lovely sunshine, and four hours either on buses, or waiting for em, LOL. I got home, and as it was so nice, Hazel dragged me to our local for a couple of pints, LOL. Watched footy last night, so...
I don't often manage to get a picture of the Jackdaws that live round here, they're just so panicky and fly at the least movement, even from the far side of my lounge!
I was quite pleased to get this one, so celebrating Birdforum's 12th birthday today with it. It's interesting to note, that BF...

I so rarely see these around the garden, and even rarer manage to get a picture of them as they fly at the least movement.
Couldn't believe this one stood and posed for me that day.
TTTW
For a few days I had loads of Jackdaws visit (presuming they were the new crop of youngsters) but they were so shy, they flew off at the least movement in my room.
The Wood Pigeons are a bit braver, not a lot, but a bit!!
This day I managed to get these two together, but they're so big and...

My garden seems to have become a nursery for young Jackdaws and Rooks. The Jackdaws are still partly being fed by adults, so there is lots of begging behaviour and noise.
