Jackdaws - I went to Richmond this weekend to capture the deer rut. This Red Deer stag was happy to be serviced, for tick removal, by these Jackdaws. He was very patient.
lots of juvenile jackdaws just now and what a noise they make begging for food and this parent seems to be turning a deaf ear but not for long i may add how could you ignore this.TTTW.
Oddly enough, I didn't see any magpies at this spot. They're all over the city otherwise, but maybe they prefer sweeter water? Running through the mudflats at low tide, I assume this creek is pretty muddy and brackish. Don't know for sure, though, as I've never come in tall enough boots to slog...
There's one spot in the creek that runs into Leangen bay, and through the mudflats there at low tide, where the corvids have apparently established their spa. Last time I walked the Lade trail, I watched three of the locally common species of corvids taking turns bathing there. I might save...
Well Peeps,
We're on the road again this morning...Sadly we're leaving the North Norfolk Coast, and heading inland to Wroxham. We have had a great week here, with some cracking weather. I hope y'all have a great weekend, and I will catch up with y'all later.

Taken from the steps down from the seafront walk at Aberystwyth. I didn't get many good bird pics that trip last May, but I do like this one. I quite like jackdaws, and I also like the rocks on the beach at Aber.
We sat and had a couple of pints of the dark stuff, at the yacht club later yesterday afternoon, and got some good shows from around 30 odd local Jackdaws.
A Jackdaw having a feast on nuts and fat balls. At one count this morning, I counted 9 Jackdaws and 10 Feral Pigeons queueing up at the feeders. We have six feeders in our small garden, but the smaller birds haveto wait until these monsters have done to get whats left.
These are the 2 residents nesting in our chimney pot. When I looked at this pic,and saw the expression on the faces of the birds, just had to submit to the gallery.Any captions please?.
