My wife brought this Jay to my attention. She was worried that it had injured itself by flying into a window. I just assumed it was sunbathing but it did have a bit of trouble standing up and flying off so it could have been a bit dazed.
The most noteworthy thing about this picture is that it was taken during a balloon trip but I think it's interesting that the Turkish subspecies of Jays have black heads.
