Poor light meant I couldn't get a fast enough shutter speed, and the bird in front moved, but I thought it worth uploading as I don't catch more than one in the frame often.

Jay are the hardest birds to see and photograph in the Scottish Pine Forest, I have been trying to get a photo of this bird for 5 days the least movement or sound and he is away, Having to use the Camera in silent mode with a Towel wrapped round it to cut down the noise. Still work in progress...

This is how Jays look if they're scared/spooked/upset/etc. I see this more often when another Jay is nearby; for a predator it's the really loud screech and stiff pose pointing...
