Took quite some time to figure these big ducks out - they were far away, and I didn't manage to get a good shot at them with my Sigma, but the wife did with her LUMIX! Not very sharp, as they were far, far off, but better than my photos anyway.

After our visit to dsmlskile Yesterday we, the wife and I, went downtown Stenungsund to have dinner. There we met the avian guests of the pizzeria, and couldn't keep our cameras away.

Just to compare it with the previous one, this is def a juvenile and the main difference I can see is the beak when compared with an adult where the lower mandible and the chin are there is the droop and the colouration is different
Whilst the whole family comes in the juveniles are the only ones that stay and allow me to photograph them, lucky for me they've stayed for a few days on and off
The Crimson Rosella juvenile could be mistaken for another species as it's plumage is so different to that which it will assume on maturity. However, unlike most species, it is just as beautiful as a youngster as it is as an adult.
