This guy was hovering very low above people, dogs and playful kids, that is until I turned up. As expected as soon as the camera went up, went did the bird. Managed this quick snap though.
I'm struggling with my new lens, mainly because I've been unable to take it out for the last 6 weeks due to poor watcher/work. Managed yesterday, but the high winds added another factor I'd not considered to a lens this size. Still, pretty happy with this shot.
Watching this Kestrel I anticipated he was going to make for a higher perch next to the female. This photo was just as he was taking off on an upward flight.
