Kestrel with meal-this is a huge crop but I thought it was an interesting shot. What do you think the meal is? I am off gallivanting again today and won't be back till late next week. I hope you all have successful captures and will catch up with you all then.
I find Kestrels to be quite wary birds but this one let me get fairly close, it was, however, keeping a very close eye on two Mistle Thrushes away to its left - so I'm guessing that's why it tolerated me.
This is my first post as I'm a new member. I took this last week near the Hardwick Hall Estate, Derbyshire U.K. as the sun was about to drop below the horizon.
