Kestrel with meal-this is a huge crop but I thought it was an interesting shot. What do you think the meal is? I am off gallivanting again today and won't be back till late next week. I hope you all have successful captures and will catch up with you all then.

First chance today to try out the new glass, pleased so far, this Kestrel was 40 plus meters away as it came in to land.

I could watch them do this all day. Much better that the television.......I mean Big brother and a kestrel....no competition!

Common Kestrel

I find Kestrels to be quite wary birds but this one let me get fairly close, it was, however, keeping a very close eye on two Mistle Thrushes away to its left - so I'm guessing that's why it tolerated me.
