Kinglets don't make it easy to get a good, flattering photo of them. Especially not while actively foraging between branches. This is the only properly focused photo I got of this one.

Another new one for us. We were seeing these everywhere but they rarely sit still. As it was I had to rescue this one with Photoshop to even get a decent one to show!
These guys are pretty hard to catch setting still, and I'm still trying to get a shot of one with that "Ruby Crown" shining. I have seen that ruby flash many times, but never when I was pointing a camera at one : )
Surely not my best photograph, but probably my best effort because these guys WILL NOT sit still. This little fellow eluded my lens for 2 seasons and from time to time, I would get a glimpse of that little flash of red on top of his head while looking for other birds, and for the longest time...

Well this is a fun bird to photograph! I think it over did it with the caffeine that day. I almost focus on the little bugger and Puff it's gone. Makes you half crazy. Of course ... we are birders and photographers.
