You're quite right, Deanne. Cute but not real cuddly. The same koala, with this capture showing clearly the claws and the marks it has made on the gum tree that it is climbing. The other thing notable about the koala is their sound. Quiet during the day, as they are usually asleep, at night...
Away camping at Brownhill Creek Conservation Park this weekend, this little chap spent Saturday in a tree only 20 metres from our campsite. It was interesting to watch the stream of campers strolling up to take photos of this little star.
Another shot from our camping this weekend. Being nocturnal, this Koala Bear was spending the day sleeping in trees no more than 50 metres from our campsite. We came across 4 adults & one joey (baby). Cute, but no cuddles..just check out the claws.
