Normally I don't take photos of this bird, as it is an introduced species in Western Australia. However, I need a shot for a project I'm working on, and the light was so good this morning.
The Laughing Kookaburra was introduced to Western Australia from Victoria in 1896 and is firmly established in the south west. Unfortunately it is a predator of the nestlings of smaller birds.
