    We were nearly all the way round Lake Claremont now, just a few more birds to look at, but thought I'd let you see a view of the lake from near the cafe. The open area of bank on the far side, I think will be where we saw the night heron and all those other goodies!

    So then we made our way down to Cheynes Beach, rather beautiful, as you can see. It also gave us nice views of the neighbouring national park called Many Peaks - you can just see a few of them in the distance.

    There's a hill at the back of the town that I've never been up. It goes up, and up, and up forever. A beautiful November day thought I'd see how far I could get (half way)! But I did keep stopping on route to look at the view and getting some pictures. Nearly broke my neck trying to get this...

    As I walked up from the river bank back towards the car, I was really taken with this view. You wouldn't think this was looking towards the town and industrial units, would you LOL.

    Sorry, focus was a bit off on this one, but it's the only picture I have of this guy, and not seen him since. I've not seen much in the way of Blackbirds for a while, just hoping they'll be back soon. We have frozen white stuff outside and more light showers passing through every now and then...
