Double-crested Cormorants (Phalacrocorax auritus floridanus) and Ring-billed Gulls (Larus delawarensis). The cormorants are mostly 1st yr birds (whitish neck fronts) working a school of fish while the gulls were kleptoparasiting the cormorants as they surfaced with a fish.

Took this at the lake today. This was a rather mild encounter between gulls. Usually they seem to spend most of their time stealing from each other. Apparently the one begging was a lower ranked gull.
