So ... IF my birding friend here was right, and IF I have interpreted and recalled what he told me correctly, and IF I am reading this image correctly in terms of what he said, then ... this would be a young Great Black-backed Gull. That's on the basis the young GBBs have more contrasting...

I not too good with juvenile gulls but I think this is a Great black-backed

A great black backed gull swimming in the south Swedish archipelago in the BAltic sea near the island of Tjr. The picture was under exposed by 2 stops in order to get the white exposed right. Note added later: I replaced the first picture with one with the white balance fixed. Looks better now...
