A large gull flew towards the block this morning, and I fired off several shots before it passed over the roof. Only afterwards did it turn out to be not the usual Herring Gull, but LBBG (which I've only photographed with a DSLR once before).

I've no doubt about the ID of these guys, clearly Lessers, comfortably perched on top of a rock keeping their feet dry from the receding tide.

This shed roof is quite steep and slippery, so many of the larger birds use their wings to help them get up, and sometimes I see them just sliding down it too..... great fun.
