Late coat change or leucistic / albino?

Hi! I filmed this white mountain hare (Lepus timidus) in northern Sweden on June 14, 2022. All the other hares in the area have changed (mostly) into their summer coats, and this one also seemed to have brighter eyes than usual. Could this be a mountain hare with leucism or albinism? YouTube...

    Question regarding fledgling sparrow

We have a number of fledgling sparrows calling the bushes behind our apartment home presently, and I'm curious to know why one of them is not being fed by adults. It is noticeably smaller than the rest and may have partial leucism-- its wings each have bright white markings and its tail is...

    Hybrid or Leucistic Canada Goose?

Please excuse the quality- but I was on the way to a commitment and only had moments to capture what I saw. I am hoping to return to the field today to possibly see the same flock again and get a better look. Any suggestions on what this might be? Thanks!

    A slightly different Yellow-rumped warbler

This unique looking yellow-rumped warbler I've been fortunate enough to photograph for 3 straight years, during its migration through my area. It always comes back to the same two trees in the same wetlands, and due to its partial leucism, it stands out from the others. If you couldn't already...

    White bits

Think this was the only time I saw this Jackdaw in the garden, he had lots of white bits on him - both shoulders and the vent area too. Wonder where he went?
  14. Mr Snowy

    Mr Snowy

I had a new Blackbird visiting in July - not seen him since though. But a few days ago I had one with even more white, but didn't manage a picture. The Waxwings were still around yesterday, but the light was awful! TTTW

  19. Pied (leucistic?) blackbird

    Pied (leucistic?) blackbird

This is a frame from an HDV video filmed at Wye, Kent, UK in the summer of 2007. This particular blackbird seems to get on fine with other "normal" blackbirds. In fact he gives the impression of being one of the dominant birds in the group. He is pretty wary and not easy to film.
