Red-tailed Hawk (Buteo jamaicensis) Leucistic. Same bird I posted a few days ago. The hawk was a ways off so the IQ is not great but I like the view with it banking.
I think this may have been the only time I saw this particular Blackbird.... he's got white bits all over him!!!
There were a few around with the odd white feather, and I'm struggling to see them about now too.

Leucistic Gray Catbird or...??? Observed for four consecutive days [5/3 TO 5/7/18] at suet feeders in my yard a few miles south of Middletown MD. Undertail coverts do show as rust, seen even more clearly with bins. Rust coloration was also found, though not shown in pics, on the [wing]...

Clay-colored Thrush (Turdus grayi subsp. casius) Sexes similar. The only redeeming quality of this picture is that it shows a comparison between a normal Clay-colored Thrush and this leucistic one under the same lighting condition, which was very poor. Canopy Lodge, El Valle de Antn, Cocl...
Clay-colored Thrush (Turdus grayi subsp. casius) Sexes similar. This individual is leucistic and we nick-named it Blondie while we were there. Canopy Lodge, El Valle de Antn, Cocl Province, Panam. Tropical rainforest/cloud forest becoming a more broadleaf evergreen forest with fewer deciduous...
This is a Leucistic Red Tail Hawk, that habits the Warwick, New York area..she is known my several birders who say she has been in our area for a least 15 yrs...I have photographed her in the past, in trees and in flight..this happens to be a real sharp picture of her taken late in the day on a...

Thought he looked quite sweet really, so wanted to show him to you.

This the is one and only Starling I've seen with white feathering - where on earth do all these leucistic birds come from?
Not sure, has it even affected the base of his bill too?
I only got two shots and he was gone, never to be seen again.

... they have leucistic Chaffinches at Loch of the Lowes too it seems.
Just managed to get this one in view - it was the only picture where both of them were sharpish.

It's a lovely day here, so I'm off out. I'll catch up with browsing later on.
I saw this bird from the highway in Eden Prairie, MN and got a closer view of him from a local side street. Thought it was a Snowy Owl at first, but on closer inspection (and help from this forum), it is a Leucistic Red-tailed Hawk

An individual with
normal colors ...
with one that
appears
leucistic ...
It was a fairly
longish day out ...
giving slide-show to
a group of 20 plus
new bird-watching
enthusiasts ...
And then taking them
around ...
Good thing is that
all of them enjoyed the
event to the
hilt ...
Initially thought I was looking at an albino myna, however as I got closer to the bird, it does not have pink eyes, etc. Therefore, it is a leucistic pale javan myna. any comment?
