I think this was the closest I managed to get to one of the flock of linnets buzzing about the area.

I had to creep along the path to get close enough for a decent pic of this fellow. And their arrival meant a scramble to swap lenses from the scenic one!

In the same bit of water that the Rock Pipit had a good wash, this Linnet did the same...only a bit less energetically! :) Sun was 'semi-against', but hadn't managed to get a pic of a Linnet since i 'digiscoped' one..quite a while back!

Could this possibly be perhaps a young male.No red on the crown,only on the front of the bird

This little devil had me running around the gorse for ages, managed to get this shot, although there is some out of focus stuff in the forground, thats what I was trying to hide behind lol

The light was very dull yesterday from about 09:30 on, and guess who popped up close! Still nice to get one close in.

I haven't seen many Linnets for years, although they were all over the place in my youth. However, there have been several pairs in the dunes at Minsmere on my last few visits. It's good to see them again but I need them to start perching on the gorse bushes so that I can get some decent shots...

Taken in cloudy conditions but the bright yellow gorse flowers brightened up my the day.

A Linnet flew into the drive way while I was studying in my room, I got my camera out just in time to get a few shots through the window.
