Salthouse has been completely reshaped after the flood. The shingle has been pushed forward in places, filling in pools.
This is the Auk from yesterdays photo which had been caught in the Surf swimming clear, another Wave went just to the side of him he managed to swim round it get in the Lee of some Rocks then take of. The movement of Little Auks in Sundays Storm was a real Wildlife event.
This bird just run out of steam and plunged into the Surf six foot waves pounded it on to the Rocks it was like it was in a washing machine this went on for several minutes but finaly it managed to swim clear and fly of. What spirit
This pic shows the Weather these birds had to contend with today the odd bird would just fall into this Surf and be bowled over amazingly up it would pop and swim as fast as it could to clear the surf then Fly off. Great day great entertainment and Great wee bird.
