Of course there were some cormies around, but no so many as the day before; I guess the tide was at a different stage.
I found this Little Black Cormorant sitting nicely at the top of a bush.
Not far from yesterday's swallow a Little Black Cormorant was observing the action going on at the pond.
Still the light was awkward, guess I could have done this image as a black and white one LOL
We went out for lunch but first, Alex had some messages to run in town, so dropped June and me off at some lakes on the other side of the road from the harbour, with a railway line beyond it.
So we had around an hour to explore. This is what first confronted us as we walked away from the car...
I spotted a Little Black Cormorant in the water and then, of course, the obvious happened.
Got focused, went to click and....

Little Black Cormorants were also enjoying this lily pond.
I thought there was some black tape wrapped round the post, but looking closely I see it is actually his feet. So he wasn't perched, but clinging.
You need to look closely, but there's quite a lot of cormorants roosting in the trees. I think they're mostly Little Pied Cormorants with a Little Black Cormorant near the Ibis on the water.
We'd got back to what I called the 'Jacana' Lake, as the lily pads with the Jacana are at the far end. I...

As we started our wander around the park, we found, in a tree at the edge of the water, this Little Black Cormorant.
