Little egret pulling fish out and leaving a trail of water. I went to the levels to try and get some Kingfisher images. All I got was three fly pasts and a bite from something on my left hand which now looks like a bunch of bananas. At least the sun shone now and again. Lol
I took this image of Little Egret in early morning light in september 2014. Other birds that were nearby include Spotted Redshank, Broad-billed Sandpiper, Black-winged Stilt, Little Ringed Plover, and others. It was a lovely morning.
Plenty of herons at Evretou Dam over the weekend and despite all the space available they all seem to want what somebody else had! And this was true for all species!
Well Peeps,
Its an early post and run from me this morning...I'm meeting up with my mate Richard Brooks, one of Norfolk's top bird togs. The weathers looking much better than the awful day we had here yesterday. Have a "Good Un" y'all.
I could see lots of egrets near the salt-pans as I was driving along the dyke-road but every time I slowed down, they would fly off further away.Luckily , this one didn't fly off as I leaned across the passenger seat to take a photo. The dark backdrop is the mud-banks in the salt-marsh.
