Well... normally they skulk, but I was lucky to get him in the open, but unlucky to have that reed stem in the way!
The next Lifer on my list here was this Little Grassbird... and little they are too.
This is to show the contrast with the Tawny Grassbird which Ken posted yesterday. Very hard to capture - you hear them whistling all the time but rarely see them.

Another one to share, these birds are usually heard but not seen. I was on the decking overlooking the ornamental lake and heard the sweet sound and to my astonishment a 'Little Grassbird' settled on a small patch of mud and waited for the parent to come over and feed it.....I have only ever got...
How on earth do they band these guys?
I'm imagining this masked commando group throwing smoke grenades into the reeds and getting them while they're knocked out :P
Last but not least ..another new one... three in two days and I wasn't even going to visit this location today. Pete and I had gone down to Williamstown as we haven't been there for a while, not much to see and weather started to close in so we had our sandwiches and Pete wanted to have a snooze...
