...no I didn't, it's a photograph ;)
Although it looks a bit too colourful to be natural, it's just the effect of the strong Wind and a clear blue Sky.
Heavy crop of a distant bird, but uploaded for the colours
.... well it was - honest!
And it was the only shot I got of one, they were rather too far off for my little camera and when he resurfaced he was even further away. There were several calling.
This is a big crop.
A bit of Saturday fun. Alternative title "Fountain"
Well Peeps,
I spent a nice few hours at Rye Harbour yesterday, with BF's Mick Harris. Such a smashing bloke, (Thanks again Mick). Not overloaded with birds, which was a shame really, as we had some pretty light. It was well windy, and bitterly cold out in the open spaces of Rye Harbour, but good...
About as chirpy as I was when the heavens opened, if the shot I took of the hailstorm is any good I'll post tomorrow as the birds were barely visible as the water appeared to boil
Distant, so a heavy crop, but I was quite surprised to see this Wednesday. All the other Little Grebes are proper juveniles now, but this one looks like it's hatched recently.
Anyway, I caught the parent with a fish ready to feed the chick, so I figured it's worth uploading.
