little owl

This photo was taken in Turkey whilst on hols.

While on my way back from my daughters this afternoon, I passed the Sycamore tree, which is home to a Little Owl pair. I stopped the car & wondered if one of them was perched, luckily for me this one was. ROD.

Took in a visit to see the local Little Owls, this one posed nicely for me. I just love taking shots of these delightful Owls, which are from my car. Looking forward to meeting up with some of our Gallery members in mid-wales tomorrow. ROD.

Starting to look less like a ball of fluff, and also learning that glare.

Not been up to see my local Little Owls for awhile, this image was taken on my last visit, which was about a week ago, about time I had another look. ROD.

I can't quite make these little fluffballs into the same stars as those shot by Andy Rouse in yesterday's Daily Mail (which were wonderful) but I can give them an airing on here. One of a pair of youngsters locally.

We'd packed our gear away for the sailing back, but I kept out my camera and smaller "walk-about" lens, and was chuffed to see this glaring at me from the stone wall near the accommodation.

Little Owl

I really enjoy going to see these lovely minature owls, they are so entertaining. ROD.

After a very heavy rainstorm, I decided to visit the Little Owls near my home, luck was on my side, this one showed well.

One of several on Skomer, though this was the only family we ever found. Much darker coloured than the one I see locally, but no less miserable!

Took in another visit to see the Little Owl's, for the first time since I have discovered them, they both showed well. ROD.

I was invited over to Rods (The Raptor) home for an evening meal and then on to find a Little Owl. His lovely wife Lyn made us a lovely meal, Cheers Lyn, and the Little Owl show well but slightly contrasty conditions, but beggars can't be choosers and it was more than a thrill to see one in the...

I have been visiting this site once a week & the Little Owl is always perched at the back of the tree, so a good shot is always hampered by foreground branches, I'll get the little so & so out in the open one of these day's. ROD.

Just to prove it's not just Puffins on Skomer.
