Or Little Grump. He's making it harder for me to find him each time, as he doesn't favour any part of the tree anymore. That said, the leaves will soon be gone, so I think I might locate him a tad easier for a few months!
This was one of the last opportunities I had of photographing the Little Owl, sadly the pair seem to have moved on. I miss going to see them, there such lovely little birds to watch. Hope there back to the same spot next year.

Those of you familiar with the Star Wars movies may see the similarity between this little owl's pose and the Jedi Master, Yoda.
All that is needed here is a little shabby old cape and a gnarled walking stick, and we'd have a fully fledged Jedi Master.
I think he's deep in concentration...
This was one of my last Little Owl images, not sure what it was thinking when I took this shot.
Sadly for me & our Ken, the pair have not been present on last couple of visits.

Marise now knows how tricky it is to locate a little owl, even when someone (me!) is stood next to her, trying to describe where the bird is! :-O
Apart from looking for movement, or a small dome, the eyes sometimes give away the bird, if it's not asleep that is!
This was from a couple of weeks...
Whilst walking back to the car after what I deemed a rather unsuccessful days photography, I managed to sight a bird perched on a telegraph wire from distance. Before looking through the camera lense I decided that it was probably a Jackdaw. However, to my delight I realised from the back that...
Last night I visited the local Little Owls once more, this one is getting familiar with me now, hence the wink!.
For Ken, pop over me old mate, weather permitting of course, the two owls where showing well when I arrived at 6pm.
ROD.
After flying off originally when seeing me poking my camera in his (?) direction, he returned and sat on a more open perch. Just a shame the light was so poor by then.
This little beauty, was perched in the tree when I arrived in my car, around eight o'clock last night, he stayed in view for a few minutes, looking down at me, with those beautiful staring eye's. I took a few shot's of it, using my camera handheld from inside the car.
ROD.
At around 7.45 last night, I decided to look for a pair of Little Owls, I had spotted while out on a cycle ride a couple of weeks ago, to my joy, they where there in the same tree, so from my car I managed to get a few shots.
The Owls I'm watching at the moment are getting ever more adventurous, I spent most of the weekend watching them sleeping until last night they performed for the camera.
