This Little Owl is one of four that can be found in a 10KM stretch of Track in the West of the Island. All of them use Sheperds Hut's for Shelter perching on the surrounding Rocks

3 pictures, 3 different cameras. I'd like to say the last few weeks have been fun, but interesting is about as much as I can muster. The 40D failed and went to be repaired, meaning I had to dust off the 350D for a while. Still gives a good shot in good light, but is not something I want to go...

Having the 40D out of action meant returning to the trusty old 350D. I can't believe how small it is to hold! And how limited the functionality is. Still, managed a few decent shots as the owl performed for me on what was my birthday.

This is a big crop taken with Canon 40D Sigma 300f2.8 stacked 1.4 x plus 2X converters , weighted tripod and timed shutter release.

Any excuse for me to divert to see these cute yet irritable birds... this one broke cover from being sat against the bark, and seemed to dance along this branch. Most amusing. They're very light on their feet.
