Last week I had the great pleasure of spending a few hours down at Ken's Kingdom, the mighty Oakwood. I won't bore you with my private life atm but just to say I would have been happy just to sit down there with the man and had a chat...in fact we did that and had some birds in...a Brucy bonus...

A delightful garden visitor - Long Tailed Tit

A small flock came through the garden this morning, darting through the branches and never stopping for more than a split second. Out of about 15 shots I managed just one with a nice pose.

One from last month when myself and Piluca spent a wonderful day down at Oakwood.

Was hoping to get some Spotted Flycatchers this morning but it wasnt to be.I watched them the other day to see which perches they preferred and liked the BG on this one.Set my hide up at 6 am this morning but they didnt show as the chicks have fledged and they are now further up the quarry.Glad...

Was sat in the very quite wood with just a Pecker for company when a couple of these beauties dropped by, always a welcome visitor.

Always a pleasure to see, but can be so jittery to photograph.

From the new Bullfinch site a few weeks back.

I watched a pair of these little beauties for ages recently as they worked incredibly hard building a nest in some brambles. They never stopped flitting about and this was about the best shot I got.

I do find these little guys difficult to capture! Atleast this guy stayed still just long enough for me to take this.

Stayed still just long enough to get a couple of snaps before flitting away with the rest of his mates!

unexpected visitor on a grey day

finally managed to catch one off the feeder in the garden, the ruffed up neck i believe was a prelude to lift off as the next frame the bird is few inches above the perch.

Spotted this little fellow whilst waiting for a train on the North Norfolk Railway's steam gala yesterday.
