    It was nice to read an informative article in the local lingo newspaper about these migratory birds urging the locals to look after them during their stay and not to hunt them. Their number is estimated to be around 5500.

    Another shot of these migratory geese from central Asia at the Magadi reserve. They have arrived here in thousands crossing the Himalayas overnight(they cover about 1600 kms in a single day), flying at a height of 6000-7000 meters.
