Back from the birdfair so posting again. Had a great time at the BF meeting old friends and contacts, meeting new opersons and looking at the equipment.
The new Canon 200-400 is a beast of a lens.
I was lucky to get this image since the bird popped up so close that I had to change the minimum focus on the lens, and these birds don't stick around for long.
I believe this is a male in breeding atire. It seems to have a thick necklace and broad wing patch, but only it knows for sure.

Is this bird an immature or fall adult? Your opinion is welcome. It was part of a mixed flock of warblers foraging in a successional forest dominated by paper and gray birch trees.
