    So, we come to the last bird from that wonderful morning, a female Magpie-Lark, plodding round the foreshore of the lake. I do believe this was the first I'd seen in Western Australia - they were two a'penny in Queensland! What a grand day it had been too.

    Can you remember what this one is called?;) She was pottering about on the grass more-or-less below the tree where the brushturkey was, until a jogger came through. She had an unleashed dog with her (park rules state they must be on a leash) and he was chasing all the birds that he could see...
