Another lurker in the bushes.
This guy wouldn't really turn his head nicely towards me, but kept looking deeper into the bush. I don't know if he was looking for his lady friend or whether he was worried about some danger in there.
Another treat for me was to see so many Bullfinches close too, and not high up a tree against the light!!
The Chaffinches always want to get in on the act, don't they LOL.
Couldn't really cut him out, even though he wasn't quite in focus.
Continuing the finchy theme... quite a treat for me as I only usually get to see Chaffinches here.
They were really looking their best in fully breeding plumage early May.
Hope you don't mind me posting yet another but it was such a treat for me to see these lovely boys. I just couldn't stop clicking!!
This one was on the ground under the feeder.
We continued our walk which goes along the side of the river Wensum and went into the Whitley hide (the other two further on weren't open at that time, as the Marsh Harriers had just arrived and they wanted to give them time to settle before allowing people into the area).

Lots of different species coming to the water feature in the Hotel garden to drink and bathe. Still cannot believe I sat out in the open taking all my shots, the birds must have been very thirsty not to bother about me.
Not really sure re this shot.It was taken through a window in a small bird hide.As it was quite dim outside,lots of noise esp in the grey plumage.I found a demo of Neat Image on the pc,have never used this prog,so just kept pressing buttons etc.The front of the bird is a little too smooth...
