not as sharp as i wanted but these boys run so fast, and the girls run ever faster.

I thought perhaps that brown dragonfly was a female, so when Stanley identified it as a Western Meadowhawk, I checked what the male of that species looked like, and sure enough, that was the next one I'd seen.
He shows up every day now - fights off the Starlings until they call in reinforcements - walks up the tree - flies off. He's even got used to me throwing food out for the other birds - he just swings around behind the branch and hides, swings back and continues feeding when he hears the door...
