    I thought perhaps that brown dragonfly was a female, so when Stanley identified it as a Western Meadowhawk, I checked what the male of that species looked like, and sure enough, that was the next one I'd seen.

    The Wood Duck is usually very secretive and shy, but this one along with its mate is sacrificing privacy for the protection of a gaggle of Canada Geese with 150 individuals. I have never gotten this close to a wild Wood Duck as I did today at the Crossings Park. Everyone that I saw was clueless...
