A nice few hours at Holme yesterday, good sightings of Marshies, and a few odd bits and pieces. Wet and miserable here in Norfolk this morning, so no birding today.
As we are heading to Norfolk tomorrow, I thought I'd post a few from our Norfolk adventure back in March. Hope y'all have a great weekend, hope the weather and the birds are kind to y'all.
I see lots of Marsh Harriers at Strumpshaw Fen. Unfortunately, they rarely come close enough for anything other than 'habitat shots'. It is still wonderful to watch them hunting over the reedbeds, though. Ron
Well Peeps,
I am like the proverbial dog with two di*ks this morning. My daughter in Reading, Pennsylvania presented me with my fourth granddaughter Savannah Rose last night. Too late for me to go out and wet the baby's head, but rest assured, that job will be done today. Three from the boat, on...
Had fun with my young granddaughters for the past few days, now they are off to Paris, Barcelona, Lake Geneva etc... So no ice creams for me until they get back. Have a great weekend everybody, hope the weather and birds are good to y'all.
Why does it seem that when ever you get a golden opportunity its always against a grey sky or poor light, on Sunday I had a Black Tern, Spoonbill and a very close marsh harrier all when the sun was behind cloud!!
Marsh Harriers over the reedbeds at Strumpshaw yesterday. I don't know what is going on here but we saw a lot interaction between the birds and several food passes. Ron
