It was a bright and sunny day yesterday so I went to Strumpshaw Fen. Unfortunately, loads of other people had the same idea so there was nowhere to park. In the end I gave up and returned home in a thoroughly bad mood! So I have no new photos this week. Hopefully the weather will be all right...

Spent a very cold but very enjoyable day over at Salcey Forest with Ray Seagrove today. Plenty of birds around, including about a dozen of these little beauties.
I spotted this Marsh Tit at Strumpshaw Fen and it was in the open for a change. I hauled my camera out of the holster, found the bird in the viewfinder and pressed the button in one movement, just as it flew away. The result was one very shaky image. I probably should have dumped this photo but...
There were loads of these in the trees and bushes at Strumpshaw Fen on Sunday. They are one of my favourite little birds but, as usual, the problem was finding one keeping still long enough for a photograph. Ron
