Its post and run for me this morning. We are off to Brighton to babysit Little Maggie (2) while her parents take time out to have fun with some more of the family. They are off to see Chas & Dave(Rabbit, rabbit) perform one of their farewell gigs. Lucky them??? Not sure if I will get online...

Yup, my first sighting and my first photo of a Meadow Pipit. It's one of those birds you feel you should have seen hundreds of times and don't like to admit you've never seen one, lol. Anyway, I can now hold my head up high :-O. Image quality isn't great I'm afraid but I was pleased to get any...

Think this is a Mipit, like the Shore Larks, it didn't let me get close.

a small Mipit with a nice ring to it. ;); Sometimes when you find a nice BG and a great angle, a bird decides to enter the scene and make you happy. Wouldn't swap it for a closeup.

Have had some internet problems over the last couple of days, seems to be OK again now. I had a great day on Tuesday, went to see my team win at Watford & on the journey up, saw a couple of red kites flying above the M4 near Reading. One downer however, I got a parking fine near the Watford...

Thought I'd upload a picture taken last year as it reminds me of sunnier and more importantly warmer times. I nearly missed this little chap, but he quite oblingingly shouted at me until I saw him and took his photo (or her, I was too polite to ask).

Saw this Meadow Pipit (think it's a MP), while on a walk along the front at Severn Beach, I like how the bird lit up in the low sunlight. ROD.

I've seen a few of these birds every day around my field in one particular area. To-day I waited and in they came mostly on the grass but it's a bit long for a photo and then one landed on the fence and I got the shot.
